The Flat Rock Inn was built in 1888, and is now listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Step back in time for a restful night in rooms and suites decorated as they might have been in colonial times. After a sumptuous breakfast, served family-style in the formal dining room, enjoy hiking the nearby trails or strolling through shops in the charming village of Flat Rock.

The beautiful stone Killarney House was built in 1853 and is one of the oldest homes in Hendersonville. The inn is set in over an acre of exquisite gardens, and is the perfect place for the quiet contemplation of nature. Rooms are spacious and deorated with Victorian antiques. Some rooms have fireplaces and whirlpool tubs. A full breakfast and afternoon refreshments, served on the front porch, are part of the charm of this gracious country inn.

Lakemont Cottages, nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Smokey Mountains, offer a woodland setting, several small lakes and the cool mountain breezes of a 2,400' elevation location. Fourteen cottages are widley spaced throughout the grounds to provide maximum privacy and tranquility. The cottages are completely furnished, including a fully equipped kitchen, and sleep from 2-6 guests.

Nearby attractions include the Carl Sandburg home, the Flat Rock Playhouse, and historic downtown Hendersonville. 

For camping enthusiasts, Creekside            Mountain Camping can be found near Lake Lure and the interestingly named town of Bat Cave, NC. Full RV hook-ups, shaded creekside tent sites, and rustically furnished cabins are available. Activities include hiking trails, trout fishing, a 40' pool, and a club house with pool table and video games for those rainy days.
