Lovill House Inn, located on eleven wooded acres, is within walking distance of the historic town of Boone. Built in 1875 by Civil War hero Capt. E.F. Lovill as a family home, the house has been restored to an AAA four-star inn. Six beautifully decorated rooms, plus the "Spring House" cottage offer luxury and comfort. Lovill House is close to attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, the charming village of Blowing Rock, and Appalachian State University.
Built cica 1790, and situated on a country lane wandering the banks of the Watauga River, the Baird House in Valle Crucis is a perfect spot to relax and experience North Carolina's High Country. Baird House guests are treated to a full country breakfast, the "Butler's Pantry", with 24 hour access to selected coffees, teas, and cold beverages, and the "Bottomless Cookie Jar", filled with the inn's own Baird House Chocolate chip cookies.
