 Finding things to do in Polk County is easy.  Begin with the Foothills Equestrian Nature Center in Tryon.  Located on 300+ acres, you’ll find nature exhibits and trails, show rings and stabling for 200 horses.  Local records, , books, photographs, and other artifacts of historical significance are also housed there.

The Tryon Fine Arts Center has a 300+ seat auditorium, Exhibition Gallery, Mural Room, work rooms, and outdoor gallery.  Groups using the facility include Tryon Little Theatre, Tryon Crafts, Carolina Camera Club, and Tryon Painters and Sculptors.

The Lanier Library Association operates one of the oldest libraries in North Carolina. And is housed in its original 1905 building.
